On September 30th, Danish black metal band ORM will release its third album, Intet ⢠Altet, through their allies at Indisciplinarian, who today issues the recordâs cover art, track listing, preorders, and a brief audio/video teaser.
Intet ⢠Altet (âThe Nothing ⢠The Allâ) is a double album that once again expands ORMâs epic and visionary black metal through a narrative about four life phases, which unfold over four grandiose compositions with a total running time of ninety-two minutes!
Intet ⢠Altet was recorded between February and June 2022. The drums and rhythm guitars were recorded live at Black Tornado Studios, engineered by Jake Black and ORMâs Simon Sonne Andersen. The bass, lead guitars, and all additional material was recorded at Full Moon Studios by Theis Wilmer Poulsen. The vocals for the record were recorded at Toreâs Cottage, engineered by Simon Sonne Andersen and Theis Wilmer Poulsen. The final recordings were mixed by Simon Sonne Andersen at Full Moon Studios and mastered by Frederik Brandt Jakobsen. Additionally, Intet ⢠Altet features several guest contributions, including trumpet performed by Mads Peter Steenstrup and violin performed by Nils Gröndahl. The album is completed with cover artwork by Raoul Mazzero (View From The Coffin) and photography by Naya Buch, Adriana Zak, Theis Wilmer Poulsen, and Bornholms Ã-Arkiv.
ORM shares the first album excerpt with a three-minute visualizer by Cold North Creative for the album-opening twenty-four-minute-long track âFra Dydenâ (âFrom Virtueâ).

ORM was formed in 2015 and released its eponymous debut album in 2017 setting the stage for the bandâs epic melodic, black metal. Their 2019-release second album Ir saw the band transcend the confines of contemporary black metal with a full LP consisting of two long tracks of progressive extreme music. ORM always seeks to expand their artistic universe and to explore the boundaries of extreme metal and push beyond them. One of the bandâs unique hallmarks is the epic format with long compositions and simultaneously personal and metaphysical narratives on human existence.
Extremely well received by the press and audience alike, Ir and the 2020 EP Mit Blod garnered attention both within and outside the extreme metal community, leading to raving reviews, a nomination to the prestigious Danish criticâs award Steppeulven and well-attended shows across Scandinavia.
When playing live, ORM is a spiritual experience, where the audience is transported into a chaotic realm where the raging ocean waves strike relentlessly at the ragged granite shores, breaking them apart and leaving behind a serene landscape, tranquil in its ravished emptiness. The band beckons you into their world, asking you to listen intently to discover the delicate detail hidden within their frantic wall of sound.
On their third album, Intet ⢠Altet, ORM once again advances and evolves its art even further. The mastodonic format affords ORM even more freedom to unfold their musical vision, as it soars high among the mountain peaks, then roars with the raging rapids only to then dip low into the valleys to meditate with the forgotten spirits.
Intet ⢠Altet tackles the four stages of life, inspired by the bandâs own progression â personally and musically. Each of the four compositions centers around a distinct life stage â the fiery youth, the burdened adult, the ascetic hermit, and finally the ascension into the next realm. The lyrics are inspired by the psalms and legends that mark the passage between the life stages, and ultimately the inevitable passage from life to death.
